Levin Kärcher

Levin Kärcher (born December 12, 1986 in Heidelberg ) is a German music producer, DJ and film musician. His work includes the film music for Beti and Amare , which won the German Film Critics' Prize for Best Film Music in 2017 .

biography

Kärcher spent his childhood and youth in Ibiza, where he founded the trance project Last Men Standing with Nyimo Nijman in 2005 and celebrated international success. In 2010 he moved to Germany to study and consequently teach at the School of Audio Engineering in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2014 Kärcher met the director Andreas Siege, who was able to persuade him to compose the score for his film Beti and Amare . In 2017, the film received an award from the Association of German Film Critics in the Best Film Music category at the Berlinale . Beti and Amare is Kärcher's first feature film.

Projects

Kärcher's productions range from music ( Joachim Kühn , GMS , Infected Mushroom , Schwesta Ewa ) to theater (Mikós' Die Vaterlosen ) and film.

Kärcher is a member of the music project ELCH , which he founded in 2016 with Philipp Eltz.
