Ragnar Josephson
Ragnar Josephson (born March 8, 1891 in Stockholm , † March 27, 1966 ) was a Swedish art historian and writer .
Life
Josephson was professor of art history at Lund University from 1929 to 1957 and director of the Royal Dramatic Theater in Stockholm from 1948 to 1951 . In 1960 he was accepted into the Svenska Academies .
Josephson was interested in the genesis of the work of art, which is why he founded the Archive for Decorative Art (Arkiv för decorativ konst) in Lund in 1934 , today's Skissernas museum . As early as 1931 Josephson founded the Skåne Art Museum at Lund University.
