The Rahnsberg is a 561 m high low mountain range in the Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf and belongs to the very wooded southeastern foothills of the Rothaar Mountains . It is considered the local mountain of Dexbach .
Geographically, the Rahnsberg is at the interface of the (m 674) to its highest elevation designated nature space bagpipe and its Vorhöhen counted to the eastern foothills of the Rothaargebirge.
In past centuries the Rahnsberg was a large mining area for copper ore.
