Bagpipe foreheads

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sackpfeifen-Vorhöhen (actually: Sackpfeifen-Vorhöhen (with Wollenberg) ; natural area number 332.0) is the name of a natural area in Hesse. The superordinate main unit is the Ostsauerland mountain range (332).

location

The bagpipe forecrops connect as a (completely wooded) transition from the low mountain range to the hill country east of the bagpipe . The federal highway 253 forms a relatively natural north-west boundary , from which the boundary in the natural space units on sheet 125 Marburg , which cannot be defined as a line , differs slightly.

The 592 m high Arennest or Aarnest (a good 5 km southeast, between the Biedenkopfer districts of Engelbach , Dexbach and Katzenbach ) and the 583 m high Kohlenberg between Hatzfeld-Eifa and Battenberg-Frohnhausen (4 km east-northeast) are striking marks the transition to the Hatzfelder Ederbergland .

In the easternmost part of the foothills, east of the 460 m high Homberg es near Dautphetal-Buchenau , the Wollenberg rises 474 m high and 13 km southeast of the bagpipe above the valley plains of Lahn and Wetschaft . It is also completely wooded and connected to the Homberg by a narrow forest corridor . Its assignment is not entirely clear - Meynen still counted it to the Gladenbacher Bergland , which is connected to the south and otherwise separated by the Upper Lahn valley .

Immediately to the east, the fore heights meet the Wetschaft depression , which in natural terms is already included in the castle forest .

View from the Christenberg in the Burgwald onto the Wetschaft depression and the bagpipe behind it, together with foreheads with a coal mountain (583 m, half right, two-peaked), bagpipe (673.5 m, right of center, very wide, with a transmission mast), splendor of the groves (631 m , left of it in the background), Hassenroth (622 m, middle, dome) and Arennest (592 m, second half left)

mountains

The following mountains are included in the bagpipe fore-heights - sorted by height in meters (m) above sea level (NHN):

  • Hassenroth (621.6 m), hilly mountain west of Dexbach
  • Arennest (592 m)
  • Heiligenberg (588 m), south-southwest of the Hassenroth

  • Großer Hardenberg (570.2 m), northwest of Dexbach and clearly separated from Hassenroth to the southwest by state road 3091
  • Rahnsberg (560.8 m), south of Dexbach and southeast of Hassenroth
