Upper Lahn valley
The Obere Lahntal is a natural area in the extreme north of the Gladenbacher Bergland on the upper reaches of the Lahn between Bad Laasphe ( Siegen-Wittgenstein district , North Rhine-Westphalia ) and Lahntal - Caldern ( Marburg-Biedenkopf district , Hesse ). It also includes the Dautphe side valley, which branches off to the south .
The Obere Lahntal is the northern seam of the Gladenbacher Bergland to the foothills of the Rothaargebirge ( Wittgensteiner Bergland and bagpipe plus foreheads ).

The Obere Lahntal itself has only a few independent surveys. Partly framed by quite striking mountains.
The valley of the Lahn is followed by the federal road 62 , that of the Dautphe by the federal road 453 .
