Raid Dschuhi
Raid Dschuhi al-Saadi (* 1970 ) was the presiding judge in the trial of Saddam Hussein . The Iraqi Shiite denomination studied law at the University of Baghdad .
Life
He was responsible for preparing the indictment against the former dictator. The indictment is the 1982 massacre in Dujail , in which more than 140 mostly Shiite civilians were murdered.
After Rizgar Muhammad Amin, he is the second judge of the tribunal who has become known by name; previously the names of the judges were kept confidential for security reasons. Dschuhi gained international attention after the Iraqi police uncovered a murder plot directed against him by supporters of Hussein . A document was found in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk calling for the judge to be murdered.
