history

On February 26, 1898, the agricultural warehouse, advance payment and credit association was founded in Baiertal as the forerunner of today's Raiffeisen private bank as a cooperative with unlimited liability. The association had 56 members.

In 1963 it was decided to separate the bank and the goods store. To this end, a neighboring plot of land in Alte Bahnhofstrasse was acquired for the new bank building. In 1965 Rolf Zilly (member of the board from 1969–2008) began working for the savings and loan association in Baiertal. The number of employees rose from three to eight. In 1970 it was decided to build a warehouse instead of the Zur Linde restaurant .

In 1972, under the management of Karl Brenzinger, a merger with the savings and loan fund Horrenberg and the Raiffeisenkasse Balzfeld took place. From now on, the bank operated under the name Raiffeisenbank eG Wiesloch-Baiertal. The supervisory board is made up of 21 honorary administrative members. Werner Hillenbrand was appointed to the Management Board on January 1, 1981.

In 1984 a new bank building was built at Alten Bahnhofstrasse 10. After 36 years on the board, Karl Brenzinger left the board of directors of Raiffeisenbank in 1992. The warehouse building in Baiertal was expanded, and in 1997 the Schlecker company opened a drugstore here.

In 2008 Rolf Zilly retired after 39 years on the board. Udo Engelhardt is appointed as a board member. At the General Assembly on June 24, 2009, the name change to the current name Raiffeisen Privatbank eG was decided. In 2015 Werner Hillenbrand retired and Hans Gaiser was appointed as a new member of the board. Since July 2015 Udo Engelhardt and Hans Gaiser have been the new board of directors of the bank.

The former board member of Raiffeisen-Privatbank Hans Gaiser resigned from office in July 2016. Beate Hackmann then acted as an interim board member until March 2017, when Daniel Ehmer was appointed to the board as the new board member in the area of production and control.

As of October 1, 2019, Frank-Karsten Willer will be appointed as a member of the Bank's Management Board. On November 1, 2019, Ralf Haller will be appointed as Market Director of Raiffeisen Privatbank eG. The board members Udo Engelhardt and Daniel Ehmer were separated after the bank discovered damage in the millions by a loan fraudster (period 2016 to 2018).
