history
The bank was founded as the Eggenthal loan association on September 21, 1903 by 46 citizens at the instigation of the mayor at the time, Franz Sales Schmid. Other loan associations were also set up in that year, such as in Friesenried by 29 citizens, initiated by Pastor Jakob Neubrand, but also in Blöcktach. In 1909 and 1911, similar foundations followed in Baisweil and Lauchdorf.
From the 1960s, the regional Raiffeisenkassen merged. In 1967, the Raiffeisenkasse Friesenried-Blöcktach eG was created from the Raiffeisenkasse Blöcktach and Friesenried. In 1969, Lauchdorf and Baisweil followed and merged to form Raiffeisenbank Baisweil-Lauchdorf eG. Such mergers took place again in the 1980s. In 1981 the Raiffeisenbank Eggenthal followed with Baisweil-Lauchdorf to Raiffeisenbank Baisweil-Eggenthal eG and in 1988 Friesenried-Blöcktach with the bank in Baisweil-Eggenthal to Raiffeisenbank Baisweil-Eggenthal-Friesenried eG. This completed the creation of today's cooperative bank.

Raiffeisenbank Baisweil-Eggenthal-Friesenried eG is a cooperative bank . The legal basis is the Cooperative Society Act and the articles of association issued by the Supervisory Board . The organs of the bank are the executive board and the supervisory board. It operates three branches in Eggenthal , Baisweil and Friesenried , two Raiffeisen warehouses in Friesenried and Baisweil and a beverage market.
