Raimund Becker (born January 23, 1959 in Neunkirchen / Saar ) is a German lawyer. From 2004 to 2019 he was a member of the board of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) in Nuremberg .

life and work

Raimund Becker studied law at Saarland University from 1979 to 1984 . After the first state examination, he worked as a legal clerk from 1984 to 1987 and at the same time went through a supplementary course at the Europa-Institut . Becker was hired as a junior employee for the higher service at the Rhineland-Palatinate-Saarland State Labor Office . In 1989 he became head of the job placement and job counseling department at the Bad Kreuznach employment office . From 1991 to 2003 he was head of various areas at the State Labor Office for Rhineland-Palatinate-Saarland.

In 2003, Raimund Becker moved to the main office of the Federal Labor Office , where he took on the position of head of the cash benefits, social insurance, law and order division. In January 2004 he became head of the HR department at the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency . After the same month the then Chairman of the Board of BA, Florian Gerster , the Board of Directors of BA mistrust had been pronounced, moved Raimund Becker in early 2004 to the post of Chief Financial Officer of the previously Frank-Juergen Weise held and in turn ascended to CEO . Until 2006, he was responsible for controlling and personnel alongside the BA's finance department. After a reorganization of the headquarters of the Federal Employment Agency, Becker was a board member responsible for the entire area of ​​the Third Book of the Social Security Code and the IT of the Federal Employment Agency. From June 2014, Becker was the regional director. In March 2019, he left his position for family reasons.

Raimund Becker is married and has one child.
