Raimund Sassik

Raimund Sassik (born November 16, 1883 in Vienna ; † September 17, 1935 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

Although Raimund Sassik began after visiting the elementary school , the school but to visit, this stopped. Instead, he learned the profession of printer . After completing his professional qualification, he became an employee of the Austrian State Printing House .

From 1906 Sassik worked as a trade unionist . The center of his life shifted from Vienna to Lower Austria , where he was elected mayor of Zwölfaxing in 1912 .

In July 1922 Sassik became a socialist member of the Federal Council . From October 1925 to May 1927 Sassik served as a member of the National Council . He then sat again from May 1927 to December 1930 as a representative of Burgenland in the Federal Council. Most recently, Sassik was again a member of the National Council from December 1930 to February 1934.

Within his party, Sassik held the position of State Party Secretary of the SdP Burgenland from 1922 to 1927 and again from 1930 to 1932.

From April to May 1934, Sassik was interned for a short time in the Wöllersdorf detention center .
