Raimund Theis

Raimund Theis (born April 15, 1928 , † September 18, 2003 ) was a German Romanist .

life and work

Theis received his doctorate in 1953 from the University of Cologne with the work investigations on "poetry" and "art" with André Gide (Cologne 1954). He completed his habilitation in 1971 at the same university with the text Zur Sprache der “cité” in poetry. Studies on the novel and the prose poem (Frankfurt am Main, Klostermann, 1972) and became a founding professor for Romance studies at the University of Duisburg .
