Rain Veideman (born October 1, 1991 in Haljala , Lääne-Viru County ) is an Estonian basketball player . Since the 2013/14 season, Veidemann has been under contract with the Estonian top club BC Kalev .
professional
Rain Veideman began his professional career at the age of 17 with Kuremaa SK in the KML . After his talent as a basket shooter was noticed, he was signed by title candidate Rakvere Tarvas . In the 2009/10 season he reached the Estonian play-off final with Rakvere, which was lost to Tartu Rock . He moved to the title holder Tartu and reached with his new team again the next season the play-off final, which was lost again, this time against BC Kalev . After another season with Tartu, Veideman moved to Beko BBL to BBC Bayreuth in February 2012 , with whom he achieved relegation in the basketball Bundesliga 2011/12 . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Veideman returned to Estonia for Tartu. As in the 2010/11 season, Veideman played with Tartu in the EuroChallenge in 2012/13 . After this season ended with a defeat in the Estonian play-off final, Veideman switched to the Estonian series champion BC Kalev at the beginning of the 2013/14 season. With Kalev he also played in the Eurochallenge and in the VTB-UL where he was named the best Estonian player.
National team
Since 2007 Rain Veideman has played for various junior national teams in Estonia. He was appointed to the Estonian national basketball team for the first time in 2011 . The B-EM 2011 was his first major adult tournament. He also played for Estonia in qualifying for the 2013 European Basketball Championship for which Estonia could not qualify.
