Rainald from Haifa

Rainald von Haifa , also from Kaiphas ( French Renaud ; * before 1198, † after 1232), was treasurer of the kingdom and castellan of the city ​​of Jerusalem .

He was the younger son of Pagan II of Haifa and his wife Hodierna. His older brother Rohard II had succeeded his father as lord of Haifa in 1198 at the latest .

When the city of Jerusalem was returned to the Christians in 1229 as part of the Peace of Jaffa , he was appointed castellan there and chamberlain of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. He held the office of castellan until 1230 that of chamberlain until 1232.

He was married to Isabella of Beirut, the elder daughter of Guido of Beirut and Juliane of Caesarea . With her he had seven children Rainald:
