Rainer Boutter

Rainer Boutter (* 14. April 1946 in Würzburg ) is a German politician of the SPD and former member of the Bavarian Parliament .

Life and work

After leaving school, Rainer Boutter completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter in his parents' workshop between 1960 and 1963, and in 1968 he passed the master craftsman's examination. From 1967 to 2004 he worked for the metal processing company MERO in Würzburg . From 1975 to 2002 he was a long-term voluntary works council member of the group and a member of IG Metall . In the company he worked, among other things, as a department head in quality management and authorized representative. He has been married since 1967 and has two children and two grandchildren.

Political mandate

Rainer Boutter joined the SPD in 1970 and was chairman of his party in Würzburg from 1996 to 2005. In his hometown, he was a member of the Würzburg city council from May 1, 1984 to December 31, 1998, where he was deputy chairman of his parliamentary group from 1990 to 1998 .

In September 1998 he became a member of the Bavarian State Parliament, where from 1998 to 2003 he was a member of the Committee for State Development and Environmental Issues and in the Committee for Municipal Issues and Internal Security. From 2003 to 2008 he sat for the SPD in the committee for petitions and complaints and in the committee for state budget and financial issues. From 1998 to 2008 he was also deputy chairman of the advisory board of the Würzburg / Schweinfurt prison in the role of a member of the state parliament . Within his party he was a member of the sports policy working group. He was no longer available for election to the state parliament in Bavaria in 2008 .
