Rainer Elze

Rainer Elze (born February 6, 1956 in Köthen ) is a German computer scientist, former State Secretary in Saxony-Anhalt and Vice President of the State Audit Office there .

biography

Rainer Elze studied computer science from 1976 to 1981 at the TH Ilmenau with a degree in computer science. He worked in his profession until 1990. At the time of reunification in the GDR , Elze was active in the New Forum and was elected Lord Mayor of Köthen in 1990. He held this office until 2001. He then served as State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance of Saxony-Anhalt until 2002. When he took office in the Böhmer I cabinet , he lost his position and switched to the private sector, but returned to civil service in 2005. Initially, he was department head and member of the Senate in the State Audit Office of Saxony-Anhalt. He has been Vice President there since 2015.

Elze now belongs to the SPD and was chairman of the Köthen local association until 2005.
