Rainer Fredermann (born July 9, 1959 in Hanover ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since February 19, 2013 .

Life

Rainer Fredermann was born on July 9, 1959 in Hanover and grew up in the city too. After graduating from secondary school in 1977, he completed training as a savings bank clerk by 1980 . In 1991 he graduated as a savings bank economist. From the beginning of his apprenticeship until his election to the state parliament in 2013, he worked at Sparkasse Hannover , most recently as sales manager. He lives in Wettmar , a district of Burgwedel , where he is involved in various associations, including as a member of the volunteer fire brigade, the Heimatverein and the social association Germany . Fredermann is married and has two children.

Rainer Fredermann has been a member of the CDU since 1986. Since December 2013 he has been chairman of the CDU city association Burgwedel and a member of the CDU local association Wettmar.

Fredermann has been a member of Burgwedel City Council since 1996 . He heads the city council as council chairman. In Wettmar he was a member of the local council from 1995 to 2013 , and local mayor from 2001 to 2013 . The Regional Assembly of Hannover Region it belongs since 2011 as deputy of the CDU Burgwedel.

In the Lower Saxony state election on October 15, 2017 , Fredermann won the constituency of Langenhagen as a direct candidate of the CDU with 39% of the first votes and thus managed to enter the Lower Saxony state parliament.

In the CDU parliamentary group, Rainer Fredermann is the commissioner for fire and disaster control as well as for the Bundeswehr.

He is a full member of the Committee on Home Affairs and Sport and a deputy member of the Committee on Economy, Labor and Transport. He is also a member of the Media Subcommittee. In the 18th electoral term he supplements the presidium as secretary.
