Rainer Hoffmann (politician)

Rainer Hoffmann (born January 9, 1962 in Bitburg ) is a German politician and former federal chairman of the Party of Reason (PDV) as well as deputy chairman of the party's Rhineland-Palatinate regional association .

Life

Hoffmann studied electrical engineering at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen . He worked as an engineer and a teacher. He is currently a self-employed management consultant and runs a company based in Schwier .

Hoffmann was state chairman of the PDV Rhineland-Palatinate from 2012 to 2014 and a member of the federal executive committee from 2013 to 2014.In the 2013 federal election he ran as a top candidate on the state list and as a direct candidate in the constituency 203 Bitburg . As a direct candidate, he received 0.7 percent of the vote, his party in the constituency 0.5 percent of the second vote . From November 2014 to mid-2015 he was federal chairman of the party. He is still deputy chairman of the regional association.

Hoffmann lives in Malberg-Mohrweiler .
