Norbert Geng

Norbert Geng (* 1965 ) is a German lawyer , university professor for corporate law and politicians ( PDV ).

Life

Geng studied law at the University of Würzburg and, after completing his legal clerkship, worked as an editor for the WISO tax letter from 1994 to 1995 . After four years working as an attorney in Erfurt , he was general counsel at HUK-COBURG insurance group. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Jena in 2000 with a thesis on the topic of compensation and compensation for minority shareholders in the controlled stock corporation in the event of mergers and demergers . Since 2002 he has been a professor at the Faculty of Business Law at the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences .

Geng is a member of the Hayek Society and a supporter of the Austrian School of Economics .

After Oliver Janich's resignation as federal chairman of the Party of Reason (PDV), Geng was elected party chairman on June 23, 2013. At the federal party conference on November 3, 2013, Susanne Kablitz was elected as her successor.

Geng lives in Grünsfeld in the Main-Tauber district .
