Rainer M. Osinger (born January 7, 1970 in Villach / Carinthia ) is an Austrian illustrator , painter, graphic artist , caricaturist and author of children's books .

Life

Osinger grew up in Paternion / Drautal and in Klagenfurt . After primary and secondary school, he attended the HTL for visual design and graphics. Later the New Design University with a focus on media illustration , illustration and free graphics. Then practical training in the graphics and printing trade, as well as in the advertising agency sector. Today Rainer Osinger works mainly as an illustrator for publishers and agencies, but also as a comic artist, caricaturist and portrait painter. He writes and illustrates books and children's books, creates illustrations for children's books , school books and magazines for publishers in AT, D, IT, SLO, CH and also the USA. As a visual artist he has specialized in the areas of caricature and portrait painting, as well as in the Popart art area "Typoart". In the "Typoraprint" technique he developed himself, he works on new ways and applications. Osinger's paintings are mostly made in oil, acrylic and watercolor, as are experimental techniques. His graphics are mostly etchings, pencil and ink drawings. His illustrations are created from various mixed techniques in gouache , watercolor , Indian ink , oil paints , acrylic , and much more. He is married to Christina Osinger and has seven children. Rainer Osinger now lives in St. Veit an der Glan , Taggenbrunn, where his art and graphics studio is also located. Osinger is also co-founder and vice-president of the association Zukunftstauglich Lebensorientiert eV, which is strongly committed to education, art, health and international networking with its international projects. The association's activities are intended to contribute to international understanding, development cooperation and academic exchange.

He is a member of the illustrators and graphic artists' association "Design Austria", member of the "Society of Typographic Designers" London, member of the professional association of Austrian visual artists, member of BILDENDE KUNST Vienna, member of ILLUSTRIA Austria, member of Create Carinthia, member of IG authors / Authors Literaturhaus WIEN, member of the Carinthian Writers' Association KSV.

Works

Illustrations have been published in magazines, newspapers, books and publishers . Osinger's paintings, graphics, illustrations and children's books can not only be found in German-speaking countries, but also in European countries and the USA. His artistic and illustrative works can be found in many formats and techniques. Wall designs 4 m to 5 m high, canvas pictures and portrait paintings up to 2 m high and illustrations and graphics in small formats between 40 cm and 50 cm. His "Typoart" paintings (typographic paintings in Popart style) on cardboard, wood glue boards and canvas up to 2 m high can be found in galleries. Detail - Osinger portrait painting.
