Rainer Peek

Rainer Peek (born November 3, 1958 ; † May 31, 2009 ) was a German pedagogue and professor of pedagogy at the University of Cologne .

Life

Peek studied German and educational science for the teaching post (secondary level I and II) in Münster . Between 1986 and 2003 he was a research assistant in the areas of pre-school education and empirical education at the universities of Münster, Hamburg and Berlin. From 2003 to 2007 he was a consultant for standard reviews and school standards at the State Institute for Schools and at the Ministry for Schools and Further Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 2007 he moved to the University of Cologne and became a professor of educational science with a focus on school research.
