Rainer Schanne

Rainer Schanne (* 1942 ) is a German educational advisor, author and politician ( ödp ) from Zweibrücken .

Life

Schanne was in the Bundeswehr from 1962 to 1964 , after which he studied Catholic theology until 1970 with a diploma. From 1971 to 1975 he went on to study for a doctorate, which he received as Dr. theol. finished. In 1975 and 1976 he lived in Bangkok for a year and a half . In 1977 and 1978 he was a full-time educational assistant in the diocese of Münster . Since May 1978 he has been working as an education officer in the Speyer diocese . Rainer Schanne is married to the social anthropologist Gertrud Schanne-Raab.

Political career

He joined the Ecological Democratic Party on March 13, 1988. From 1989 to 1999 he was city councilor in Zweibrücken and chairman of the parliamentary group for his party. His wife - who has also been an ödp member since 1999 - has been a member of the Zweibrücken City Council for the Green List since 2004 , which is made up of members of the GREEN and ödp parties . Schanne is currently the first chairman of the ödp district association Südwestpfalz.
