Rainer Volkmann

Rainer Volkmann (born June 3, 1942 in Mittersill in the Salzburger Land ) is a German-Austrian politician of the SPD .

Life

After the Second World War , his family came to Ammerland on Lake Starnberg and finally to Munich in 1950 . He attended the Rudolf Steiner School and graduated from the Rupprecht High School in 1962 . He then studied law in Munich and Berlin . Before he became a lawyer, he worked for four years as a law teacher at a technical college. After the second state examination, he worked as an independent lawyer in the Munich district of Neuhausen from 1974 . He has been married to Annemarie Böhm-Volkmann since 1980 and has two daughters. In addition to his partisan work, he is honorary chairman of the Munich tenants' association and chairman of the Rupprecht-Gymnasium Munich association

Volkmann is married and has two children.

Volkmann became a member of the SPD in 1962. From 1972 to 1978 he was parliamentary group spokesman in the Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district committee and from 1978 to 1998 honorary city councilor.

From November 28, 1998 to October 19, 2008 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . He was no longer available for election to the state parliament in Bavaria in 2008 . In the state parliament he was a member of the committee for local issues and internal security as well as spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group for integration and migration.
