The Rainerbach is a 2.2 km long left tributary of the Kainach in Styria .
course
The Rainerbach arises in the eastern part of the municipality Kainach near Voitsberg , in the northeast part of the cadastral municipality Kohlschwarz , between the Reinprechtskogel in the north and the Kohlschwarzkogel in the southwest, southeast of the Fürstaller farm and north of the Wilhelm farm. It flows first in a flat curve to the left, then in a curve to the right and then in a relatively straight line to the west. In the east of the cadastral community of Kainach it flows into the Kainach in the eastern part of the main town of Kainach near Voitsberg, directly west of the L341 , which then turns a little to the right. On its course, the Rainerbach takes on four unnamed watercourses from the left and nine from the right.
Flood events
Due to a heavy thunderstorm with hail on July 24, 2016, the Rainerbach and several other streams in the vicinity overflowed its banks and caused some serious damage to the surrounding infrastructure, such as roads.
