Rajaton is a Finnish a cappella ensemble that was founded in Helsinki in 1997 . The Finnish word rajaton means limitless , which expresses both the breadth of their repertoire from sacred to pop music and the way the ensemble approaches the music.
Among the works are compositions by Mia Makaroff , Laura Sippola and Anna-Mari Kähärä and also pieces written by the members of the ensemble. Some texts come from the Kanteletar .
history
Rajaton had been working with the quintet The Real Group from Sweden for a number of years when they first appeared as an ensemble under the name Leveleleven in 2013 .
