Rajgarh is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .
Rajgarh is the capital of the district of the same name . The city is located 110 km northwest of Bhopal , the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The city is located on the left bank of the Nevaj River . The national highway NH 12 connects Rajgarh with the 20 km southeast situated Biaora , as well as the western km with 15 Khilchipur .
At the 2011 census, the city had 29,726 inhabitants.
Rajgarh was the capital of the princely state of the same name from the end of the 15th century until 1948 . Above the river bank is the ancient fortress of Rajgarh.
