Rajna Vishnevetska

Rajna Vishnevezka ( Ukrainian Раїна Вишневецька , scientific transliteration Rajina Vyšnevec'ka ; * 1589 , † 1619 ) was a Ukrainian patron . She was the sister of the Kiev Metropolitan Petro Mohyla and the wife of the Polish nobleman Mikhail Vysnevetsky .

Vishnevetska founded Orthodox monasteries in Pryluky , Hustynk , Ladynsk and Mhar near Lubny . She worked against the Polish efforts to unite the Ukrainian Orthodox with the Catholic Church .
