Lepel district
The Lepel Raion ( Belarusian Лепельскі раён ; Russian Лепельский район ) is an administrative unit in the southwest of the Vitebskaya Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the city of Lepel . The Rajon has an area of 1800 km² and includes 238 villages.

The Lepel Rajon was formed in its current borders on July 17, 1924 .

Lepel Rajon is located in the southwestern part of Vitebskaya Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in the Vitebsk Region in the west Dokschyzy , in the north Uschatschy , northeast Beschankowitschy and southeast Tschaschniki .
There are 136 lakes in the region.
