The Rakowski Nunatak ( Bulgarian Раковски нунатак Rakowski nunatak ) is a 430 m high nunatak on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . In Vidin Heights it rises 1.5 km west of Sharp Peak , 3.5 km northeast of Miziya Peak and 1.4 km north-northeast of Madara Peak .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it while surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after Georgi Rakowski (1821–1867), Bulgarian revolutionary and activist of the Bulgarian National Revival .
