from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ralf Collmann (born June 30, 1962 ) is a former soccer player who played twelve games in the 1979/80 and 1980/81 rounds as goalkeeper for 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 2. Bundesliga South .

career

At the age of 16, 1. FC Saarbrücken's talented goalkeeper was appointed to the goal of the German national youth team by the DFB . Collmann made his debut on September 23, 1978 in Weinheim, Baden in the 2-1 international success of the A junior selection against Austria. In the 1979/80 season he prevailed in the DFB youth team in goal and took part in the UEFA youth tournament in May 1980 in the GDR with the selection of DFB coach Dietrich Weise . In all three group games against Poland (2: 3), Finland (6: 2) and Romania (0: 1), he guarded the goal of the DFB team. On May 24th (40th matchday) the young talent came on for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga for goalkeeper Dieter Ferner in the away game against Karlsruher SC . When 1. FC Saarbrücken's leadership went haywire in 1980/81 , three coaches “led” the Saarlanders into the amateur camp, Ralf Collmann started the round as a regular goalkeeper in the 2. Bundesliga. Coach Slobodan Čendić surprisingly changed to the Stuttgarter Kickers, the successors Erich Jordens and Dieter Schulte could not prevent the crash and relied on the newcomer Herbert Heider in goal to avert danger . For the young talent, this marked the end of his career in paid football after eleven games, for the newcomer from Barmbek-Uhlenhorst, Andreas Brehme , it was the start of an internationally successful career.

Collmann went back to the amateur camp, where he stayed on the ball in the stations SF Rehlingen and SV 05 Holz in Saarland amateur football.

mayor

In 2018 Ralf Collmann was elected mayor of the Saarland community of Rehlingen-Siersburg as a non- party member.
