Ralf Scherrer
Ralf Scherrer (* 1959 in Rathenow ) is a German artist.
Scherrer fled the GDR with his parents and grew up in Wiesbaden. From 1978 to 1983 he studied painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe . Together with Wolf Pehlke , Harald Häuser , Heinz Pelz , Jürgen Wiesner and Caroline Bittermann he founded the artist group Kriegfried . While studying art, he made several trips to India and Mexico. From 1984 to 1988 he studied American Studies and Indian Art History in Berlin. In 1989 he received a working grant from the Kunstfonds Bonn Foundation .
