Ralf Zimmermann (lawyer)

Ralf Zimmermann (* 1971 in Sande ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Labor Court .

Life

Ralf Zimmermann was born in 1971 in Sande in the Friesland district. After studying law, he worked as a lawyer and as a lawyer in an employers' association. In June 2004 he joined the labor courts of the state of Lower Saxony . In 2005, Zimmermann was involved as a judge at the Braunschweig Labor Court in the lawsuit of the former VW manager Klaus-Joachim Gebauer, who was suing against his dismissal without notice. The case also caused a stir in the media because Gebauer was represented by the FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki . The labor court in Braunschweig declared the termination without notice to be legal. From 2007 he was a judge at the Labor Court in Hanover . From January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011, he was seconded to the Federal Labor Court in Erfurt as a research assistant .

On June 1, 2016, Ralf Zimmermann was appointed judge at the Federal Labor Court and assigned to the Ninth Senate of the Federal Labor Court by the Presidium. The Ninth Senate is responsible in particular for vacation, part-time employment and severely disabled law.
