Ramírez Island ( Spanish Isla Eleuterio Ramírez ) is the northernmost of the three islands of the Bugge Islands (formerly) off the front of the Wordie Ice Shelf on the Fallières coast in the west of the Antarctic Peninsula .
Participants in the Second Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948) named them after Eleuterio Ramírez Molina (1837–1879), a protagonist of the Chilean-Bolivian-Peruvian saltpeter war .
