José Ramón Marsal Ribó (born December 12, 1934 in Madrid , † January 22, 2007 there ) was a Spanish football player .
Career
Although he only played for Real Madrid for three years , he was very successful during that time. So he was able to win the European Cup and the Spanish Championship three times each . His goal against Athletic Bilbao on November 17, 1957, in which Marsal played around the entire defense and the goalkeeper, has become legendary as the goal of the long minute .
On April 13, 1958 - in a friendly against Portugal - he was able to play for the first and last time for the Spanish national football team. Seven days later he suffered a serious knee injury in the game against Celta de Vigo and then had to announce his end of career at Real Madrid after an unsuccessful operation. At his later clubs he could no longer build on his old achievements.
