Ram Gopal

Ram Gopal (born 1925 ) is an Indian writer and historian .

Life

In 1942 he was arrested in connection with the "Quit India" movement (Indian freedom movement) and held in Lucknow Central Prison.

Gopal was a professor of Sanskrit at Panjab University in Chandigarh .

One of his main works is his biography of Bal Gangadhar Tilak . His book "Indian Resistance to Early Muslim Invaders Upto 1206 AD" was described as an important work by Sita Ram Goel , among others .
