Ramallah is a hardcore punk / metalcore band from Boston . It's the side project of Blood for Blood guitarist and background singer Rob Lind .
style
In contrast to Blood for Blood, the band tries more and more to incorporate metal influences. Rob Lind said of the albums: "This is the most aggressive music I've ever written." The lyrics are mostly about (US) social criticism, but international conflicts are also addressed.
history
While Rob recorded the first album But a Whimper on his own (he played all instruments except drums), the second album Kill a Celebrity was recorded in the last lineup. The songs Ramallah and Al Shifa (on Kill a Celebrity as Shock and awe ) can be heard in different versions on both albums. The band broke up in March 2007 because Rob Lind could not work as a singer due to unknown problems. Before that, Ramallah toured Europe. A replacement singer was hired at short notice for the USA tour, but the band then ended their activity.
In April 2013 the founding of the band was announced.
