Blood for Blood is a hardcore band from Charlestown , a borough of Boston , Massachusetts , who call their style of music " White Trash Hardcore Rock 'n' Roll ". In 1994 Eric "Buddha" Medina (vocals), "White Trash" Rob Lind (guitar, vocals) and Mike Mahoney (drums) founded the band, and since 1997 they have been releasing on Victory Records .

At first they played hardcore punk like their favorite bands . However, style elements from other adjacent musical genres are also processed on newer publications. The lyrics of Blood for Blood are written very hostile to society and refer to experiences the band made. In addition, Blood for Blood built up its own fan base, the "Wasted Youth Crew". In addition, they made many contacts with z. B. The Boston-based Dropkick Murphys and various other bands such as The Bruisers , whose song Bloodshed was featured on the album Outlaw Anthems as a cover. Rob and Eric did the backing vocals on Madball's Demonstrating My Style .

In most of the songs the band deals with bad experiences and their difficult childhood ("They wanna break me down, hope I can hold my ground", "All I see are little MTV babies. That ain't the real world I forced to see, that ain't the real world at all "," Have you ever prayed to the night sky - under one of them cold street lights? Watch another stolen car drive-by - lost your hope and said 'This is where i die!' ").

In the anti-social texts, society as a whole is “criticized” (“Fuck you and fuck society too”, “I turned my back on society, when society turned its back on me”, “I'd rather be a king of nothing, than a servant in a sick society ").

Rob Lind started the band Ramallah as a side project when Blood for Blood wasn't doing much.

Another characteristic of Blood for Blood are their extremely loyal fans who have come together under the banner of the "Wasted Youth Crew".

Blood for Blood covered various hooligan and skinhead songs such as Goin 'down the bar from Wretched ones and Ultra Violence from The Oppressed .

On December 4th 2010 Blood for Blood performed in Dresden for the first time since 2004 as part of the Persistence Tour in Germany, Lichtenfels and Austria. However, Rob Lind was replaced by Biohazard's singer Billy Graziadei .

After the police arrest of singer Erick Medina in July 2012 because of the urgent suspicion of rape to the detriment of a 13-year-old and the associated exclusion of Medina from Blood for Blood, the band issued a statement that the future was unclear. All scheduled performances have been canceled until further notice.
