Ramil Hajyev

Ramil Hadschyew ( Ukrainian Раміл Гаджиев , transcription used internationally: Ramil Gadzhiev * 18 November 1997 in Odessa , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian boxer in the super middleweight and current WBC -International champion.

Amateur career

In 2013 Ramil became Junior World Champion in the Ukrainian capital Kiev . There he beat Zal Chelli, Alexis Rocha, Huseyn Tarverdili and Kadyrbek Sadykbek each on points. The following year, Ramil captured the gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games with points victories over Satali Tevi-Fuimaono, Luka Plantic and Dmitriy Nesterov .

Professional career

Ramil won his professional debut match against Pavlo Sharun on October 2, 2015 by technical knockout in Round 2.

He lost his second fight against Botirsher Obidov unanimously on points.

In December 2017 he competed against Aro Schwartz for the vacant World Youth Championship of the WBC association and won by unanimous decision on points. The following year, Ramil defended the belt against Mateo Damian Veron and won the WBC International title in the seniors with an early win against Bruno Sandoval.
