Ramona Brussig
Ramona Brussig (born May 20, 1977 in Leipzig ) is a German judoka - disabled athlete . She won several world, European and German championship titles and was the 2004 and 2012 Paralympics winner.
Life
Ramona Brussig is visually impaired and starts for the judo club PSV Schwerin . Her sister Carmen Brussig is also a judoka and participated in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Paralympics in the weight class up to 48 kg. Ramona Brussig is a sports and fitness clerk .
Ramona Brussig and her twin sister Carmen caused a sensation at the Paralympic Games in 2012. The two sisters won gold in their respective weight classes on the same day. They were the first to win the gold medal for Germany at the 2012 Paralympic Games . At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro , they both won silver in their respective classes and thus won the first German medals.
