Founder Rudolf Rampf

The Rampf Group ( proper spelling RAMPF Group and Rampf Group ) is a German manufacturer of reactive resins and machine systems. It has been based in Grafenberg (Reutlingen district) since it was founded. The chemical engineer and certified technical business economist Rudolf Rampf founded the company in 1980 as Rampf Kunststoffsysteme GmbH . More than 800 people are employed at the locations in Germany, China, Japan, Canada and the USA. In the 2016/2017 financial year, the Rampf Group achieved consolidated sales of 169 million euros.

Corporate structure

  • Rampf Machine Systems is a system supplier and development partner for system solutions, trunk and basic machines as well as multi-axis positioning and movement systems based on machine frames made of innovative materials.
  • Rampf Production Systems builds low-pressure, mixing and dosing systems for gluing, sealing, foaming and potting.
  • Rampf Eco Solutions develops chemical solutions for the production of alternative polyols from PUR and PET residues and plans PUR and PET recycling plants.
  • Rampf Polymer Solutions develops and manufactures reactive plastic systems based on polyurethane, epoxy and silicone .
  • Tooling Solutions develops and produces block and liquid materials as well as semi-finished products for model and mold making. This includes products for conformal models such as pastes, large-volume and 1: 1 potting as well as prototyping systems.
  • Rampf Composite Solutions designs and constructs lightweight components made of carbon fiber and glass fiber composites.

Michael and Matthias Rampf, the sons of Rudolf Rampf, have been part of the management together with Horst Bader since 2012.

history

Rampf was founded in 1980 as Rampf Kunststoffsysteme GmbH in Grafenberg by Rudolf Rampf. In 1996, Epucret GmbH from Rechberghausen , a manufacturer of machine beds made of mineral cast, was integrated. In 2003 the Rampf Group was expanded with the establishment of Rampf Services, Rampf Tooling, Rampf Dosiertechnik and Rampf Ecosystems. In 2003, Rampf Group, Inc. was founded in the USA, the first foreign subsidiary. In 2005 Rampf Group Japan followed in Japan and in 2007 Rampf (Taicang) Co., Ltd. in China. In 2009, the Rampf Group opened an innovation center at its headquarters in Grafenberg, which is mainly used for laboratory and application technology. In 2011, company founder Rudolf Rampf retired from the management of the Rampf Group and founded an advisory board , which consisted of him as chairman as well as Willi Stächele and Rainer Schiefelbein and which was dissolved in 2016. In 2014 the companies of the Rampf Group were renamed in order to take account of increasing internationalization. In 2016, the Canadian company Apex Composites, which specializes in the design, construction and manufacture of lightweight components made of carbon fiber and glass fiber composites, was acquired. The company was integrated into the group under the name Rampf Composite Solutions. In 2017 company founder Rudolf Rampf received the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in recognition of his many years of service to the common good and his outstanding voluntary commitment.

In 2001 the company owner founded the Rudolf Rampf Foundation, which is dedicated to promoting young people.
