The Ramthang Lho (also Ramthang Peak ) is a peak in the Kangchenjunga Himal ( Himalayas ) in the extreme northeast of Nepal .

The 6601  m high Ramthang Lho rises 7.6 km northwest of the eight-thousander Kangchenjunga . A mountain ridge leads to Ramthang Chang ( 6802  m ), 1.86 km north-northwest . The Ramthang Lho is flanked by the Ramthang Glacier in the west and the Kangchendzönga Glacier in the east. A ridge leads to the south-east to the west ridge of the Kangchenjunga.

Ascent history

The Ramthang Lho was first climbed on May 19, 1930 by members of the international Himalayan expedition led by Günter Dyhrenfurth .
