Dieter "Didi" Ramusch (born October 31, 1969 in Traundorf near Globasnitz ) is a former Austrian football player . He ended his active football career in the 2004/05 season at Grazer AK , where he was mostly used as a defender on the right wing, but also as a midfielder .
Career
Didi Ramusch began his career in Carinthia with the football club from St. Michael / Bleiburg before moving to SK Austria Klagenfurt in 1987 . During the two seasons 1987/88 and 1988/89 , in which he was with the Carinthians, he scored three goals in 38 matches played. In 1989, the native of Lower Carinthia transferred to VSE St. Pölten in Lower Austria , where he played 155 games and scored 21 goals. He remained loyal to the St. Pölten family from 1989 to 1994 before moving to LASK in Linz for one season . For the black and whites from Linz he scored six goals in 32 completed games in the 1994/95 season .
The time at the GAK
The big change came for Ramusch in 1995 when he transferred to Graz to the Grazer AK , for which he was under contract until 2005 and scored 27 goals in a total of 288 games. In the 2003/04 season , the veteran celebrated his 500th Bundesliga appearance and in the same year was able to win the championship title and cup victory with the GAK. Ramusch was one of the top performers of the Rotjacken and, above all, his speed made him an important player on the right wing, as well as in midfield. In the 2004/05 season he ended his active football career.
Didi Ramusch played a total of 514 Bundesliga games and scored 57 goals.
National team
Ramusch made his debut in the Austrian national team on March 29, 1995 when he came into play in the 46th minute of the game for Andreas Ogris in Austria's 5-0 win over Latvia . He played a total of ten games in the red-white-red national dress. On August 16, 1995, his fourth national team appearance, he scored in the 3-2 defeat of Austria in the European Championship qualifying match against Latvia in Riga, in the 76th minute, only twelve minutes after being substituted on, with the interim equalization for 2 : 2 his first and only goal for Austria.
