Ranunculus subhomophyllus is a plant type from the family of the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae).

description

Ranunculus subhomophyllus is a perennial stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of growth of 5 to 7 centimeters. The stem is simple or not very branched. The basal sheets are almost or completely bare and tripartite. The sections have narrow, pointed to blunt lobes and are often stalked. The crown is 5 to 7 millimeters in size. The nuts are 2.5 to 3 millimeters in size, round and broadly winged. The beak is curved and slightly shorter.

The flowering time is in April.

Occurrence

Ranunculus subhomophyllus occurs in southern Greece and in the Aegean region in the subalpine zone. In Crete, the species grows on rubble and on damp rocky areas in hedgehog cushion heaths at altitudes of 1100 to 2300 meters.
