Rasmus Peter Frandsen (born April 17, 1886 in Årslev , † December 5, 1974 in Næstved ) was a Danish rower and Olympic knight.

At the 1912 Olympic regatta held in Djurgårdsbrunnsviken , there were two competitions in a four-man with a helmsman. In today's internationally common boat class, the oarlocks were attached to the boom . In the other boat class, which was common in Scandinavia at the time, the oarlocks were attached directly to the edge of the boat, on the gunwale . The boat class with gunwale attachment was only Olympic in 1912.

Eleven boats competed in the jib class, including two from Dänemerk. The crew from København Roklubb were eliminated in the preliminary round against the Belgians, the crew from Polyteknisk Roklub with Erik Bisgaard , Rasmus Frandsen, Mikael Simonsen , Poul Thymann and helmsman Ejgil Clemmensen qualified for the quarter-finals without an opponent. In the quarter-finals the Danes defeated the Finnish crew, in the semi-finals they were defeated by the German foursome. The Danes as well as the Norwegians were in third place as the losers of the other semi-finals.
