- Ludwig van Beethoven : The 8th Symphony op. 93 is premiered on February 27, 1814 in an "academy" organized by Beethoven in the large Redoutensaal in Vienna. In addition, the Piano Sonata No. 27, Op. 90, the Merkenstein - Lied, Op. 100 and the Polonaise in C major, Op. 89, are published.
