Jan Evangelista Antonín Tomáš Koželuh ( Johann Evangelista Anton Thomas Ko (t) zeluch ; baptized December 14, 1738 in Welwarn ; † February 3, 1814 in Prague ) was a Bohemian composer .

Koželuh studied at the Jesuit College of Brenitz and with Josef Seger in Prague. He completed his training in Vienna with Christoph Willibald Gluck and Florian Leopold Gassmann , and after Gassmann's death presumably also with Antonio Salieri . He then became Kapellmeister at the Kreuzherrenkirche in Prague and from 1784 at St. Vitus . Throughout his life he was in the shadow of his cousin Leopold Antonín Koželuh , whom he had even taught at times and with whom he is still often confused - even in half-timbered works and various catalog raisonnés.

Koželuh composed, among other things, around 45 masses , five requiems , the oratorios La morte d'Abel (1776) and Gioas re di Giuda (1777), the operas Alessandro nell'Indie (1769) and Demofoonte (1771), four symphonies Oboe concerto, a clarinet concerto (also attributed to Leopold Koželuh) and two bassoon concerts.
