- Antonio Salieri : Requiem in C minor for solos, four-part choir and orchestra ; 11 marches for orchestra (around 1804);
- Étienne-Nicolas Méhul : Mass Solennelle for soloists, choir and organ
- Anton Eberl : Symphony in D minor op. 34; Quartet in G minor for piano, violin, viola and violoncello ; Prelude suivie de VIII variations in G major for two pianos op. 31; Six songs for soprano and piano op. 23;
- Ludwig van Beethoven completes the 3rd Symphony in E flat major, op. 55, with the nickname Eroica (Heroic Symphony). The premiere takes place on April 7, 1805. Beethoven also composed in 1804 a. a. the Piano Sonata No. 22 in F major, Op. 54

- Carl Maria von Weber : Rübezahl , (Opera in 2 Acts) Only the overture, which was later revised, has survived.
- Louis Emmanuel Jadin : The composer premieres the following three operas: (1) Jean Bart et Patoulet , (2) Mon cousin de Paris; and (3) La Grand-mère.
- Nicolas Dalayrac : The composer brings out the following three operas: (1) La Jeune prude ou Les Femmes entre elles (1 act); (2) Une Heure de Mariage (1 act) and Le Pavillon du calife ou Almanzor et Zobéide (2 acts).
- Peter von Winter : Two operas are being published in London, each based on a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte: (1) Il trionfo dell'amor fraterno and (2) Il ratto di Proserpina .
