history

A town hall built in 1624 stood on the site of the town hall built in 1780. The baroque town hall of the market town of Erpel was designed and built by master bricklayer Franz Ignaz Freeg. From 1803 to 1966 it was owned by the parish of Erpel. From 1816 to 1822 it served as the seat of the Prussian district of Linz . Renovations took place in 1930/32 (with red structure on a white background), 1976 and 1990.

description

The narrow building with seven axes is covered by a mansard roof with ridge turrets. The former town hall has a central risalit adorned with a gable on its western long side . The coat of arms of Erpel is attached to the gable. A window with a small balcony is located above the simple portal with a skylight. There are arched gate entrances at both ends of this facade.

Inside, the wooden staircase with parapet and the oak doors are worth mentioning.
