The town hall of Laucha an der Unstrut is a monument in the Unstruttal community in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The urban development of Laucha an der Unstrut began with a legal award before the year 1344, when the place was presumably given the right to stake . In 1419 Frederick the Simple-Minded Laucha endowed with two annual fairs, free council elections and lower jurisdiction ( Langensalza city law), which was confirmed in 1441.

The first town hall was built by 1443. 100 years later, in 1543, the decision was made to build a new building on the south side of the market, southwest of the church, which was completed by 1563 and was built on the site of a free house. What is striking is the difference in the number of window axes on the upper floor from the other two floors, which can probably be explained in terms of architectural history. It is not known whether this was due to a later increase, but it is conceivable that it was connected to a city fire in 1731, which also destroyed the vertical ornamental gable. The window walls are profiled and show framing.

The crowning hipped roof is shaped to the north and south by three dormers and a roof turret with a lantern, which was renewed after a fire in 1735. The most striking element, however, is the former outside staircase, which was roofed over in 1913. On its parapet above the Ratskeller entrance is a coat of arms from 1563 as well as a figural relief plate depicting a knight. The portals are each round arched, but have a late Gothic framework framing.

The building is under monument protection and is recorded in the monument register with the number 094 83041.
