geography
The river has its source in the highlands to the north of the southernmost quarter, Vieux Fort, and runs south. It runs through the area La Ressource and La Tourney and originally flowed into the Atlantic Ocean directly at the center of Vieux Fort as the southernmost river of St. Lucia in the Vieux Fort Bay , which is open to the west . For Hewanorra International Airport , it was moved further west along the runway.
The neighboring rivers are the Canelles in the northeast and the Ravine Languedoc in the west.
