Štefan Chrtiansky junior (born August 17, 1989 in Detva ) is a Slovak volleyball player .

Career

Štefan Chrtiansky junior is the son of the coach Štefan Chrtiansky . He started his career in 2000 at Hypo Tirol Innsbruck . There he first played in the youth team before he was promoted to the first team. With the Innsbruck team, he won the Austrian championship four times in a row from 2009 to 2012. In 2010 the attacker made his debut in the Slovak national team , with which he won the European league in 2011 . In 2012 he moved to the Italian first division side Trentino Volley , where he won the championship and national cup double. With the national team Chrtiansky took part in the 2013 European Championship . Then he went to the French club Nantes Rezé Métropole Volley . In 2014 he tore a cruciate ligament . In the same year he returned to Innsbruck. With Hypo Tirol he won two further championships in 2015 and 2016. At the 2015 European Games in Baku , he finished fifth with Slovakia. At the EM 2015 , however, the team was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2017 Chrtiansky took part in the World League . He was then taken over by the German-Austrian Bundesliga club Hypo Tirol Alpenvolleys Haching .
